Sets? Man, can we build sets!

But I think I've built enough for a lifetime or two...

We'll probably be working at the set again this Sunday. If you want to drop by, I can send you the address and time once I'm sure that it's on.

Hi, I'm Eivind, programmer/project manager, have done a few of short films before, Browncoat, and I registered so I could get at the production forum and see if there's anything that catch my fancy helping with.

Hey there y'all.

Captain Vick here. Just wanted to put in my "To Bob's" worth too :).

It's a great thing you've got going here, really. I'm glad I got to be a part of it when you did the space bazaar scene. Can't wait 'till it comes out. For anyone who's interested, I too, have my own project going. It's not a film, (well, maybe, someday) it's a series of storeys, set out to feel like your average 45 minute episode. My girlfriend actually came up with the idea, and she writes most of it (by hand) then I edit it and type it up, and post it on our myspace page. It's set in the Firefly 'Verse, along a very simmilar vein to the original series, however our ship -The Blackbird is smaller than a firefly, and we have a crew of five. the crew are, on average, alot younger than the crew of Serenity too. The captain, Adelay Tayer, is only in her early twenties, as is her 1st mate and life long friend Tuck Ang. There's a bit much to explain here, and I won't bore anyone who's not interested, but if you are then please take a look at www.myspace.com/whitefire_blackbird. So far we've only got two episodes posted, but the third is finished and should be up very soon.

See you round the 'Verse.

Capt. Vick Hartnell, 273 Squadron, Alliance Airforce.
I used to work for the Alliance. Then one day I woke up and found they'd stolen two years of my memory. Two years I've got no idea what I did, and I want them back.

Howdy.

Best thing about becoming a hardcore Firefly fan late in the game is that the fan films are all well under way.

The worst thing about becoming a hardcore Firefly fan late in the game is that the fan films are all well under way... and there's no room for me to play in the production!

I'm a huge fan of the show, the movie and the 'Verse. It's tragic that with the rabid fandom that still exists even today, 6 years past the show and 3 years past the film, that they haven't resurrected the property.

So, if it's up to people like you and me to do it, more power to us!

My background is in VFX, so if anyone has any questions, I might be able to help... (although, from the looks of it, you've got it covered). And on that side, I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with Bellflower... she 'fits' the 'verse, and she's good looking. A lot of fan films put tons of work into their projects but their ship design just doesn't 'feel' right, and it nullifies all of the rest of the work put into the project. Bellflower's design is something I believe in, and recognize as something from the Firefly Universe... so major kudos to those who developed her.

I'm very excited to this finished. :)

Cheers!

Welcome to the forums Launch ;) It's always awesome to see new faces joining up.

It isn't in the way you mean, but voicing support of what is being done here is a undeniably vital part of the production. Though I am not questioning the motivation of people directly involved ;), it's that support, and knowledge...that there are people genuinely excited and supportive all over the world about what is happening, that is Bellflower's lifeblood. If that's why your here, you are a definitely part of Bellflower.

Have an awesome time here Launch, see you around ;)

Hey Seth,

Thanks. Honestly, how can any fan of Firefly not be stoked about returning to that universe, especially when the Bellflower looks so fine... I'm just jealous I didn't get to work on this project with you guys. Would have jumped on board to model some stuff, for sure... and maybe have done some graphic design.

Hey there!
Only recently discovered this project/site. Looks awesome. Looking forward to seeing the final product.

Don't know if you all are planning on producing more content, but if so, I'd be glad to help. Mostly I could offer help with Chinese speech/text, since my Mandarin is good enough that I've done some teaching. I can also do calligraphy for both English and Chinese text. For anything else, it seems like you have plenty of people who are much more skilled than I, so. ^^ If there's no further help needed, that's cool too, just thought I'd throw it out there just in case.

Again, great job to all involved and eagerly awaiting the release of the film.

Hello, Bellflowerians.

I stumbled across "Bellflower" by doing a general firefly seacrh for boards etc.

I'm another fan of the 'verse. I just had to buy the deck plans of Serenity from QMx when it first came out (the booklet style).

Anyway, I have websearched, and found all the good sites with "Sandfly class Bellflower" info, and must say that I really want QMx and you folk to consider putting out the DVD of "Bellflower", with all the great videos that are on the internet now, along with the shiny movie.

Offical Sandfly deck plans.. as a companion ( no pun intended) for my Serenity plans would be gorram fantastic!

I'm a solo browncoat in State of Arkansas, in the USA... a far piece from Australia, and a'might further from New Melbourne.

I am a FAN of "Bellflower" anticipating the film. IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY BIG BUDGET!!

Hi Kenster!

Thanks for the kind words. The DVD will be coming out just as soon as we can make it happen, with as many extras as we can put together and fit on the disk. New Melbourne is getting closer all the time.

In money terms, it's been almost no budget at all. In terms of time spent, help given, and gracious support from people all around the world? It's sometimes hard to believe just how much has gone into this movie.

Hello my name is Sarah I'm 19 and I live in Cornwall, England.

I heard about The Bellflower by accident when listening to The Signal (best podcast ever may I add?) and I had to check it all out. I've been meaning to sign up for ages and I've finally got round to it.

I cannot wait to see your film! I'm keeping the faith that Firefly will live on through the fans and this project proves it!

Good look and keep flying!

Hi Sarah.

It's very quiet around here now, mostly just spam messages, so don't worry too much about checking for news! But we still have a small team working hard on finishing the movie, and it will be released eventually.
